Morson Talent are working with a growing organisation within the Oil & Gas sector who are looking to recruit a Head of Sales to join their team. The purpose of the Head of Sales is to lead and develop the commercial team, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, enhancing team performance, and driving customer retention and growth. This role involves setting clear objectives, tracking performance, and providing regular feedback to team members.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and motivate the commercial team to achieve monthly sales targets
Set clear sales objectives, measure progress, and provide constructive feedback to team members
Conduct daily performance tracking of Tiers vs. targets
Identify opportunities for additional sales and support the team in maximizing sales potential
Conduct one-on-one meetings with each team member on regular bases to understand their strengths and goals
Organize at least two training sessions or workshops when needed
Implement weekly team meetings to set priorities for the week
Implement performance KPIs and track measurable improvements in gross margin sold by Tier month-on-month
Ensure month-on-month gross margin improvement by Tier 
Decrease overall errors in Sales Orders
Implement call-back targets to ensure all customers are contacted
Ensure accounts without repeat orders for the month have clear notes and have been contacted
Regularly report sales performance to senior management, highlighting successes and challenges
Maintain strong relationships with key clients and accounts
Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally
Implement new processes within the team to increase efficiency
Person Specification

Several years of experience in sales
Management experience
Leadership skills that inspire and motivate a sales team
Proven ability to drive sales process from plan to close
Excellent time management skills to maximise ability to reach goals
Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail
Calm, confident manner to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations
