Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

ROLE – Project Manager   SALARY - £45,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)TYPE – PermanentLocation- Surrey  My client designs and manufactures bespoke machinery and fabricated equipment. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Surrey on a permanent basis.   The Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Experienced Project Manager, ideally with a background in Design / Product Development
  • Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • PRINCE2 or a similar Project Management qualification would be beneficial but not required
  • A background in Aerospace, Automotive or related industries would be beneficial 
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including sheet metal, fabrication, welded parts and machining 
  • Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials – sheet metal, injection moulded plastics etc. 
  • Be able to read engineering drawings 
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once and deliver results on time and budget
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and Project Manage the Design, Prototyping, Development, Testing and Introduction of new products
  • Identifying and managing full lifecycle projects, from bid generation to manufacture and delivery
  • Successfully delivering projects on time and on budget 
  • Working on full lifecycle design projects 
  • Designing and developing new products
  • Producing detailed works schedules, resource and projects plans
  • Liaising with clients as required keeping them up to date with project progress
  • Working with design, purchasing and production departments 
  • Presenting project plans and reports to management 
  • Reporting progress, managing risks and responding to issues
  • Maintaining technical documentation as required 
  • Working in a small, multidisciplined team
