Description
- Overseeing the implementation of safety protocols and standards within the workshop environment.
- Conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Maintaining, testing, and repairing safety equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Providing training on safety procedures and the use of safety equipment.
- Collaborating with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to improve safety systems.
- Responding to safety incidents, conducting investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintaining records of safety inspections, incidents, and actions taken.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
Profile
A successful Workshop Technician should have:
- Relevant educational qualifications in safety management or a related field.
- Background in a similar role within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to risk management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively deliver safety training.
- The ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with various departments.
