Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant - Sittingbourne Area 

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team at an SEN school in Sittingbourne, Kent. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of classes, supporting children with a wide variety of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional and behavioural challenges, ranging from primary to secondary age. 

Details: 

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant  

Hours: 9:00-13:30 (Mon-Thurs) 9:00-14:00 (Fri) 

Pay: £77-90 daily 

Contract: Full time/long term 

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent 

Key Responsibilities: 

Provide tailored support to students across different classes, adapting to various educational and emotional needs. 

Assist in developing and delivering individualised learning plans. 

Support students with personal care and mobility, as required. 

Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure effective learning environments for all pupils. 

Ideal Candidate: 

Previous experience in supporting children or adults with special educational needs is desirable, but not essential. 

A background in care, support work, or personal experience with SEN is encouraged. 

Flexible and adaptable to work across multiple age groups and varying needs. 

Willing to take on a range of duties, from academic support to personal care. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

No driving required - the school is within walking distance of Sittingbourne station.

This is a long-term role with the potential for permanent opportunities. 

Support will be required across the school, so applicants need to be adaptable and willing to work with a diverse range of needs and age groups.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
