Transport Operator, Nights

Cullompton - Spar Contract

At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Transport Operator - Nights in our busy Depot in Cullompton. This position involves providing coordination of the day to day running of this busy depot.

The position involves:

• Provide leadership of day to day transport issues, including dispatch debrief and work in progress for the Chilled and Ambient operations at Cullompton.
• You will also be required to work closely with our customer to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
• Managing and de-briefing drivers.
• Customer relations and a range of associated administrative duties.
• Answering all queries via email, phone and face to face.
• Assisting in production of KPI's and daily statistics.

Essential Skills required:

• Experience of working in a similar role is preferred and you should have a good working knowledge of traffic management systems.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
• Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
• Attention to detail.
• Working to deadlines.
• Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work.
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
