About the Role:
Ignite Recruitment Services is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter for an exciting opportunity with a prestigious engineering firm. The role involves mechanical installation, repairs, maintenance, and support on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical installations, repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Support electricians with mechanical tasks on various projects.
- Test and inspect mechanical systems using devices like vibration sensors and infra-red cameras.
- Perform pump replacements, pipework installations, valve problem solving, fault finding, and alignment tasks.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance on pumping systems.
- Adhere to Health & Safety standards and complete risk assessments.
- Respond to emergency works and shutdown situations as required.
- Prepare and submit work progress reports when needed.

Requirements:
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
- Experience in an on-site engineering environment.
- Knowledge of pipework, screens, pumps, and motors.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
- CSCS, PASMA, IPAF, or Confined Space certification (desired but not essential).
- Hard-working, with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
