About the Role:

As a Technical Service Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting customers across the UK, ensuring their powder coating systems operate at peak performance. This role requires a mix of technical expertise and customer service skills, as you will provide on-site maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support, diagnosis, and maintenance for industrial powder coating systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, using advanced skills to diagnose and resolve faults in control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to maximize system efficiency.
• Develop expertise in powder coating applications and provide customer training on best practices.
• Carry out system upgrades, modifications, and repairs to improve equipment performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers, delivering high-quality service and support.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including technical support, sales, and engineering, to optimize service delivery.

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

• Electrical qualification (Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician, or minimum City & Guilds qualification).
• Experience in a field service role within an industrial or technical environment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent customer service and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems related to industrial machinery.
• Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare reports.

Desirable:

• Experience with industrial controls and automation systems.
• Knowledge of powder coating equipment and applications.

Travel Requirements:

• Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland, with weekly overnight stays (estimated 80% travel).
