Job Title: Structural Engineer

An established and growing construction contractor is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their in-house engineering team, working on a range of high-profile projects across Central London. This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a consultancy background who's ready to take their skills onto live construction sites and into a more delivery-focused role.

The Role
You'll be involved in the structural design and coordination of both temporary and permanent works, working closely with project teams, clients, and external designers to deliver practical, buildable solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide structural engineering support from pre-construction through to project completion

*

Assist in the development of safe, cost-effective, and buildable engineering solutions

*

Review third-party designs and contribute technical input as required

*

Produce and check design calculations, drawings, and reports

*

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice

*

Coordinate with site teams and subcontractors to resolve on-site engineering challenges

About You:

*

5-7 years of structural engineering experience, ideally gained within a consultancy setting

*

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of UK building codes and standards

*

Proficient in structural analysis and design software (e.g. Tekla, TEDDS, Robot, etc.)

*

Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively across teams and disciplines

*

Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering

*

Progressing toward chartership (or already chartered) is advantageous
