This permanent role is pivotal in managing and improving welding-related documentation and overseeing welder training. Serving as the welding subject matter expert, you will support internal business units and projects as required.

When required you will travel to our client's sites nationally, therefore flexibility is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Assume the role of 'Responsible Welding Coordinator' with responsibility for welding and related activities.
Manage all welding-related documents, including a database of WPQR's, WPS's, and WQTR's, ensuring their availability to business units.
Collaborate with management to improve manufacturing quality activities and associated documentation.
Prepare and control project-specific WPS's in line with technical requirements.
Arrange and manage welder training and qualification in liaison with test houses and classification societies.
Develop and write new WPQR's/WPS's and improve the company's existing library.
Write project-specific weld maps and Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's).
Provide practical and technical welding-related guidance and mentoring.
Support third-party audit activities including ISO 9001 and EN1090.
Work closely with engineering and production departments in a 'live environment' to ensure adherence to ITP's.
Manage and liaise with suppliers, including 3rd party NDE providers.
Travel to company locations to ensure welding activities align with relevant standards and customer requirements.

Job Requirements:

Experience in welding coordination/management.
Knowledge of welding-related BS/ISO standards and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Experience in writing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong mathematical and communication skills.
A welding qualification such as RWC or CSWIP Inspector is desirable.
Knowledge of EN1090 and UKCA Marking.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to support projects throughout the UK.
