We're looking for a standout candidate who is technically minded with a strong understanding of ISA (UK) Auditing Standards, UK GAAP and IFRS. With good working knowledge of software, including excel, Sage 50, Xero, Sage One, QuickBooks, IRIS, and Myworkpapers, you'll be able to support clients and colleagues alike.
You'll have a proven track record of supporting a client portfolio with a keen eye for detail and solid commercial awareness. Passionate about working closely with clients, you'll be adept at building and nurturing relationships as their go-to contact for queries.
Able to inspire those round you, you'll mentor junior staff by reviewing work with constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and identifying training opportunities. You'll also be enthusiastic about your own professional development, undertaking training and learning from the experienced team.

Job Purpose
- Support a varied client portfolio, overseeing the auditing process to completion.
- Plan workflow and delegate to junior staff, as well as reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.
- Undertake risk and control assessments.
- Completion of audits for Partner review and sign off.
- Preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 102, FRS 102 (1A), FRS 105 and IFRS.
- Preparation of cashflow statements under accounting standards.
- Preparation of consolidated group accounts, including liaising with overseas auditors.
- Support the bookkeeping team with general services, including the preparation of management accounts and the submission of VAT returns.
- Preparation and review of draft tax computations.
- Work closely with senior management to ensure a high standard of service is being provided.
- Build trusted client relationships, being the go-to for support.
- Champion your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities.

The Successful Applicant
- A strong understanding of ISA (UK) Auditing Standards, UK GAAP and IFRS
- Proficient in using MS office, Sage 50, Xero, Sage One, QuickBooks, IRIS, and Myworkpapers.
- Experience supporting a varied client portfolio, working closely with senior team members.
- Excellent work ethic, self-motivated, and reliable, with an eagerness to progress.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good awareness of current affairs.
- A can-do attitude and a proactive problem solver
