We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced KS5 Co-ordinator to join our team and lead our Key Stage 5 provision.
Role Overview:
As the KS5 Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the academic and pastoral support for students in Key Stage 5. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, guiding students through their A-level studies, and preparing them for further education and career opportunities. This role requires a dynamic and innovative educator with strong leadership skills and a passion for student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the KS5 provision, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives and the latest educational standards.
- Monitor and support the academic progress and wellbeing of KS5 students.
- Provide guidance and support for students' university applications and career planning.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the school.
- Organize and oversee KS5-related events, including open days, parent evenings, and extra-curricular activities.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, students, and staff regarding KS5 matters.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
- Proven experience teaching at the KS5 level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the KS5 curriculum and current educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
