Role Overview:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Supply SEN Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a flexible role that may vary in hours each week based on the needs of students and schools we currently work with. As a Supply SEN TA, you will provide essential support to students with SEN, ensuring they have a positive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of SEN needs (such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties)
  • Assist teachers with planning, organising, and implementing lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Foster a supportive and positive environment, encouraging students' confidence, social skills, and engagement
  • Help monitor and assess student progress, reporting back to the teacher or SEN coordinator
  • Support students' emotional and social development, addressing any behavioral challenges as they arise
  • Assist with classroom activities and practical tasks, ensuring a safe and inclusive setting
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, offering feedback as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN or primary school setting
  • A passion for supporting children with SEN and helping them thrive in their education
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to student needs
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and adapt to different classroom settings
  • Relevant qualifications in SEN or Teaching Assistance (desirable but not essential)
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
