Salary Range: Main Scale / UPS (£30,000 - £46,525); Actual pro-rata £12,000 - £27,915 (pending pay award)

Contract: Temporary (Maternity Cover), 2 terms

Hours: Part-time (2-3 days per week) with potential for full-time placements

About the RoleSMART Education is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join the thriving Humanities Department and provide additional support across various secondary schools in Worcestershire. These roles are designed for an enthusiastic Geography specialist with a strong commitment to helping students excel and a desire to work in an inspiring, forward-thinking environment.

For the successful candidate, this is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons in Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4. The position is suitable for a candidate looking for a 2-term, part-time maternity cover, with additional full-time opportunities available for those interested in placements across Worcestershire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver dynamic and high-quality Geography lessons in line with the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire students with a passion for Humanities and support their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team of Geography and History specialists.
  • Actively participate in the school’s positive, child-centered learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with at least 6 months’ experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
  • Proven track record of improving student attainment through high-quality teaching.
  • Enthusiasm for fostering a collaborative and inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Ability to contribute to a supportive and ambitious Humanities Department.
