Domestic Payments Analyst

• Inside IR35
• Based in Bootle once a week
• Initial 3 month contract

This role is to work on a contract basis for a Banking organisation working as a Payments Analyst, picking up payment queries within in the bank related to BACS, Cheques and incorrect payments for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• We have an exciting opportunity within our Payment Operations Team to join a team of Domestic Payments Specialists covering a number of teams including Cheques, BACS, Faster Payments & Credit Payment Recoveries.
• This interesting and fast-paced team is comprised of several specialist teams who all work to ensure that payments & tasks are completed correctly and efficiently, giving the best possible service to our customers.
• executing processes and controls, performing oversight, and working in partnership with our strategic outsourcing partner (Genpact) and internal stakeholders to provide specialist support, ensuring adherence to industry, contractual and compliance frameworks and standards.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• A good level of payments knowledge - Domestic Payment knowledge desirable.
• Flexibility and willingness to learn.
• Exceptional collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to identifying patterns and trends in data sets
• Able to proactively manage workloads across a variety of systems and input channels and work cross functionally to support colleagues in achieving SLAs.
• Proactive at keeping up to date with changing technology and scheme rules - refreshing skills accordingly
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
