We are seeking and experienced Engineering Manager to lead, and continuously develop a high-performing engineering team on a complex FMCG Manufacturing site in S. Yorkshire.

Our client is a leading organisation within the FMCG industry and are recognised for their technological advances and commitment to sustainability. They have multiple UK manufacturing sites and supply a diverse range of high quality products and services to a wide range of customers.

Description

The Engineering Manager will form a crucial part of the site Senior Leadership team. They will be responsible for the entire site Engineering function and a team of 25+ engineers and technicians. They will:

  • Oversee the engineering department and manage a complex team
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the department
  • Ensure the successful delivery of engineering projects on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the engineering department
  • Work closely with other department heads to align engineering strategies with business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Manage and control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Develop and drive PPM schedules to maximise plant availability and efficiency

Profile

The successful Engineering Manager will possess a range of the following:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG sector
  • Demonstrable Capex management experience
  • Extensive people management experience including a large team of multi-disciplined engineers
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to sustainability and a forward-thinking approach
  • Strong knowledge and experience of continuous improvement methodologies
