Michael Page Logistics are supporting with the recruitment of an Operations and Office Manager for a fleet solutions business who service the aviation sector.

Client Details

Our client has deep experience within the aviation market and a history of helping their clients to manage and transform their. You will form part a newly established team in the UK but will be part of a global network of 6 companies.

Description

In the role of general manager, you will hold the following responsibilities:

  • Lead an existing team of 6 with a focus on day-to-day operations management, business strategy, top-line growth and strategic operational improvements.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of multiple client projects and work directly with clients on initiation, trajectory, and closure.
  • You will make an important contribution by acquiring and retaining clients as well as improving relations with existing clients through project performance-based metrics.
  • Assessing the aviation needs and requirements of our customers while developing a relationship and providing solutions
  • Securing project orders and delivering on a solution that meets the client needs by leveraging our global partnerships.
  • Overseeing all business functions, you will have directive input on sales, procurement, shipping, and HR decisions.
  • Executing upon strategic business investments.

Profile

We are interested in speaking with ambitions and motivated candidates that are looking to work for a service provider that can fast tract your career in this broad role within a specialist sector. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in a suitable field such as Logistics, Supply Chain, STEM, or Business Management
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience, ideally to a management level
  • Willingness and ability to travel and to serve international clients and suppliers as well as air shows and conferences
  • Aerospace and/or defence experience - desirable but not essential
  • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively to create an inclusive environment with people at all levels
  • Strong time-management skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
