Toni at Amber Mace is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Carer with experience in providing care for those living in their own homes to join our clients domiciliary care branch based in Oxford. My client have 9 other successsful home care services and they have expanded their care provision to Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will support the Registered Manager, Deputy Manager and Care coordinator and play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to clients, ensuring their well-being, and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a responsible individual who is passionate about health and social care, has a caring nature, and possesses strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• To Provide high-quality care and support to clients in their own homes, including personal care, medication assistance, meal preparation, and companionship.
• To Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
• Lead and supervise a team of carers, ensuring adherence to care plans and the highest standards of care.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients' needs, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Mentor and train junior carers, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their duties effectively and compassionately.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards, including health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, observations, and any changes in clients' conditions.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and support for clients.
• Travel to clients' homes in Oxford and surrounding areas, ensuring punctuality and reliability.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a similar role within the health and social care sector.
• Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing exceptional care.
• Previous experience in domiciliary care.
• Must have good IT/computer skills
• Must be a UK resident with the right to work as sponsorship is NOT available
