This role is for a Production Planning Manager in a fast paced manufacturing operation, based in Stoke-On-Trent. The successful candidate will oversee the Production Planning and order book management, and contribute as part of the senior management team.

Our client is a growing, well financed manufacturing who have recently invested in new premises, capex, and additional headcount to support a very healthy order book. Based in Stoke-On-Trent, they maintain a considerable presence in their market sector and have a reputation for quality and reliability in their field.

Description

As the Production Planning Manager you will,

Review current material flow and implement appropriate production planning strategies to support the order book, capacity, and manufacturing capability
Serving as a key liaison between the company and its customers, ensure OTIF is held at a impressive level
Work closely with production to support capacity uplift and tackle issues implementing a CI approach
Monitoring and managing inventory levels
Ensure the MRP system supports the operation, maintaining data integrity
Support site leadership to meet business objectives

Profile

A successful Production Planning Manager should have:

Proven experience in a managerial role within a fast paced manufacturing operation, ideally focused on metal fabrication and assembly
A strong understanding of production planning and supply chain management, being able to demonstrate building a production plan from 1st principles
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build strong client relationships.
Strong problem-solving capabilities and a detail-oriented mindset.
Able to support and contribute as part of the site leadership team, building engagement, culture, and performanceJob Offer
