Are you an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team, where you'll play a key role in managing the cost and contract aspects of reactive maintenance for social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, valuations, and budgets for reactive maintenance projects in social housing.
Monitor and track project costs, ensuring they stay within budget.
Assist in the procurement of contractors and suppliers, including managing quotes and ensuring compliance with contracts.
Review and process payments, applications for payment, and variations.
Work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
Support in the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids.
Provide accurate and timely reports on project performance, cost analysis, and progress.

Key Requirements:

A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards it).
Experience in a similar role within the social housing reactive maintenance sector.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, tendering, and procurement processes.
Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, with a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
