Omega are working with a global manufacturer who has a passion for engineering advanced electronics that benefit our planet and people for future generations. They are looking for a Quality manager to continue growth by leading, developing and continuously improving the Quality Department.

The Quality Manager will also manage the Quality Management System and ensuring that customers receive products to the highest standard of quality possible so the successful applicant will form part of the wider Site Management Team and will play a pivotal role in the site's daily and weekly operations.

Key Responsibilities - Quality Manager

Line Management and accountability for the Quality Team (3 Direct reports) including their performance, professional development, time, and attendance all whilst fostering a positive, high performance team culture.
Manage all aspects of Site Quality and Assurance.
Work with Operations and Site Management to integrate quality objectives into business objectives and develop quality improvement strategies to reduce the cost of poor quality and drive operational efficiencies.
Conduct internal, external and customer audits in line with our certifications and own high-quality standards. Produce improvement and corrective action plans and ensure these are communicated and tracked.
Lead and train others to develop effective corrective and preventive actions using 8D and Mistake Proofing concepts in response to customer concerns, COPQ data or regular product audit results.
Lead, participate and facilitate various continuous improvement events and projects to support company goals and objectives. Lead cultural change utilizing appropriate continuous improvement tools and methodologies (PDCA, Six Sigma, Mistake Proofing, kaizen, etc).
Utilise strong interpersonal skills to communicate and engage support for driving COPQ improvement across various functions and levels within the Site and Division.
Contribute to site engagement and people initiatives.
Be a positive role model for the health and safety of your team and the site, raising hazards and looking for opportunities to make our site even safer.
Contribute to the development of the site by undertaking any other reasonable management requests.

Qualifications & Requirements - Quality Manager

Educated to Degree Level (Project and Change Management skills are desirable but not essential)
Demonstrate a successful track record within a similar position at a similar level or having developed experience or significant professional develop to make a step to first Quality Manager Role.
Professional and confident communicator (written and verbal) at all levels.
Self-motivated with the ability to work proactively in a manufacturing environment.
Experienced with working with Quality Management Systems.
Strong stakeholder management and communication Skills, can demonstrate their ability to build good working relationships, persuade and influence at a senior level, both externally and internally.
Positive, enthusiastic with a track record of making significant improvements in their areas of expertise.
