Control System Engineer - Cumbria - In-house/End-User - Permanent - £50-55k + 9% matched pension + private health insurance + discounted gym membership

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Control System Engineer to work for a Cumbrian based specialist machine manufacturing company. One of the main aspects of the Control System Engineer role is PLC programming and fault-finding on existing PLC code - this is an essential requirement.

Key aspects of the Control System Engineer role include -

* Support the engineering team with PLC & control system fault finding

* System/PLC faults are rectified and route cause identified

* Responsibility for site electrical drawings and schematics

* Support the engineering team in delivering Continuous Improvement projects and process improvements

* Assess risks in relation to control systems e.g. PLCs and necessary contingencies for failure or upgrade.

* Creation of new PLC programs and software updates when required

* Successful Control System Engineer will support the maintenance team in maintaining the plant and equipment to agreed standards

* COMPEX knowledge - desirable, not essential, training will be arranged if needed

* Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics - desirable, not essential, training will be arranged if needed
