With 33% of the student body identified on the SEN register, the school is dedicated to providing personalised support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

The Role

As the new SENDCO, you will play a pivotal role in supporting children with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and managing the provision for SEN students, ensuring they receive tailored support.

Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective strategies.

Monitoring and evaluating the progress of SEN students, adapting approaches as necessary.

Providing training and support to staff on best practices for SEN and inclusion.

Championing the school's inclusive ethos and contributing to its overall development.

The Team

You will join a dedicated team consisting of 2 SENDCOs and the Inclusion Lead. The workload is thoughtfully distributed into areas of need, ensuring a balanced and manageable approach to providing support.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it).

A proven track record of working with children with special educational needs.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
