HSE ManagerSmethwickFull-time, PermanentMonday – Thursday: 08:30am - 17:00pm Friday:  08:30am - 16:00pm FriCompetitive Salary & Company BenefitsI am delighted to be working with a global manufacturer who are looking for a dedicated HSE Manager to join the team at one of the UK sites.As the HSE Manager you will drive a Zero Harm culture by promoting open reporting, continuous improvement, and employee engagement in safety and environmental practices. The role is responsible for managing Health, Safety, and Environmental standards on the site as well as including CRD and transport operations, ensuring legal and company compliance.HSE ManagerKey Responsibilities:
  • Safety Culture & Leadership: Promote a positive safety culture across the site and engage leadership in health and safety goals.
  • Compliance & Audits: Implement and monitor Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SMS/EMS) and ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Incident Management: Investigate incidents and maintain records, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Training: Deliver safety training and provide technical advice on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Transport Safety: Ensure transport operations meet safety and environmental standards and drive FORS certification from Bronze to Gold.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives for ongoing safety and environmental improvements.
HSE ManagerQualifications & Experience:
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Health & Safety (essential).
  • FORS Practitioner Certificate (essential or willing to train).
  • Experience in LGV operations and fleet management.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001/14001, risk assessments, and HSE regulations.
  • Leadership: Drive safety culture and lead by example.
  • Communication: Effectively engage with stakeholders and deliver training.
  • Analytical Skills: Investigate incidents and identify risk-reduction opportunities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of HSE and environmental legislation
