Your new role working as a Binder Technician will be working for an Independent Lloyds Insurance Broker who specialises in both Binding Authority as well as Open market North American business. Your new company have built a desirable reputation in the marketplace and their primary area of expertise being the development and management of binding or delegated authorities. Due to expansion within their Binding Authorities Technical team, a Technician position has arisen.

Your new role
Your new job working as a Technician means you will be working on a range of areas, including, Binders, Open Market and Lineslips, with some in house binder business. You will cover areas such as USA and Worldwide and the main classes of business include Property, Mortgage Impairment, Forced Placed and Liability.

Duties will include premium Bordereaux processing and submissions to Xchanging in conjunction with the Broker Binding Authority System, processing and registering binders on Lineage as well as the use of DCOM, DDM and DAM. You will be required to assist in queries from Underwriters, Clients and staff and work with the Accounts Department to resolve queries, forwarding Risk Level Data Bordereaux to Managing Agents, and updating Binding Authority statistics.

Further duties include producing and submitting Open Market Slips and endorsements to Xchanging for signing, producing invoices, liaising with clients for payment, maintaining contract certainty reports. You will be working closely with the broking team and presenting slips to underwriters and liaising with them to ensure the slip is signed and managing the documentation to the client once bound, monthly bordereaux production, producing and maintaining files and use of a document management system.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Technician handling Binding Authorities business will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will be proficient in IT, Excel and Word skills as necessary.
