HLTA - Wigan:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced and qualified HLTA to cover KS1 lessons while their teacher is on PPA at a lovely school near Wigan.

For this role, you must be a Level 4 qualified Teaching Assistant and have excellent curriculum knowledge of both core and foundation subjects.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 8am-4pm
  • Type of work: Temporary
  • Full time/part time: Full time only
  • Minimum rate of pay: £115 per day, depending on experience
  • Start date: January 2025
  • End date: Ongoing

Responsibilities:

  • Leading classes in the absence of the teacher
  • Having excellent curriculum knowledge of Foundation and Core subjects
  • Preparing resources and areas within the setting
  • Carrying out assessments and recording information

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working as a HLTA in a primary school
  • Level 4 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training issued in the last year (free online Safeguarding training is available if needed)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE WITH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

- Hold Right to Work in the UK- Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80 if you don't already have one- Provide two professional references covering the past 2 years
