ROLE: DEPUTY CARE HOME MANAGER

SALARY: £35000 PER ANNUM - Paid Breaks

LOCATION: COLCHESTER, ESSEX

HOURS: PERMANENT, FULL-TIME - MIXED SHIFTS WEEKDAYS/WEEKENDS

Coben Healthcare are delighted to be partnering with and representing this award winning, large, national care provider.

We are assisting them in their search for a Care Home Deputy Manager in Colchester, Essex, reporting to the Home Manager, in this small - medium sized Elderly & Dementia Residential Care Home.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assist in managing operations within the home, reaching and exceeding goals, whilst assuring the provision of high-quality care.

* In charge of overseeing the care staff and assuming full management in the absence of the Home Manager

* Guiding, instructing and leading by example

* Assist in training and supervising care staff in all aspects of their work

* Supporting the Home Manager with pre-admission assessments of residents, ensuring all care plans and daily records are kept up to date

* Foster effective communication with the residents' families and external organisations

Skills & Attributes Required:

* Previous Deputy Home Management Experience

* Ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care

* Good working knowledge of CQC standards.

* Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing team

* Ability to promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home.
