SEN Teaching Assistant

Due to high demand, Cover People are seeking experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work day-to-day within their vibrant schools across the Trafford area.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant    Location: Trafford    Daily rate: £85-£95

The Role:

Are you a flexible and patient Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young people with additional needs to thrive? Are you confident in managing challenging behaviour? Then we would like to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Helping pupils with SEN to participate in all aspects of the curriculum.
• Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN in the classroom.
• Assisting teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils.
• Supporting the educational and social development of children with special educational needs (SEN).
• Collaborating with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, to support pupil progress.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant you must have:

• An Enhanced DBS Disclosure on update register.
• Experience in supporting children with SEN and complex needs.
• Experience in managing challenging behaviour.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience and empathy.
• Confidence and ability to adapt to any situation.
• Up to date CV
