Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with structural steel and various materials, demonstrating expertise in fabrication and welding techniques. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency with hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:

* Fabrication: Manufacture components from sheet metal and structural steel following specifications and technical drawings.

* Welding: Perform stick welding and other welding techniques to assemble parts securely.

* Assembly: Construct various structures and components, ensuring precision and quality.

* Tools & Equipment: Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.

* Measurements & Calculations: Conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.

* Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards before delivery or installation.

* Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Proficiency in fabrication and welding techniques, particularly stick welding and sheet metal fabrication.

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

* Experience using hand tools and power tools effectively.

* Basic maths skills for accurate measuring and cutting.

* Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship.

* Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
