Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Practitioner to provide high-quality integrated day care and early education for children aged from birth to 7 years. The role involves working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that supports each child's unique developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Planning and Delivery:
Contribute to the development and implementation of a high-quality early years curriculum. This includes planning and delivering daily, weekly, and termly educational activities that meet individual children's needs and interests, while upholding the principles of anti-discriminatory practice.

Child Development Support:
Promote children's overall development by creating a secure and engaging environment, utilizing best practices aligned with the ages and stages of child development.

Assessment and Record Keeping:
Actively participate in the assessment process by conducting observations, recording children's achievements, and maintaining up-to-date, accurate developmental records in line with high professional standards.

Key Worker Role:
Support colleagues in fulfilling their duties as key workers to specific groups of children. Assist with the smooth transition for children from home to the centre and from the centre to school.

Behavioural and Additional Needs Support:
Manage children's behaviour in accordance with procedural guidelines. Implement tailored interventions for children with additional needs, ensuring all children feel supported and valued.

Physical Care:
Provide physical care, including assistance with washing, toileting, changing, feeding, dressing, and comforting children. Administer medication when necessary, following proper training.

Child Protection and Safeguarding:
Adhere to Child Protection procedures, promptly reporting any concerns to the centre management team. Safeguard children's welfare at all times.

Outings and Activities:
Assist in organizing outings that enhance children's educational experiences, ensuring their safety and enjoyment during off-site activities.

Physical Assistance:
Support children with physical needs, including toileting, transferring from seating to mobility aids, and helping them develop self-help skills such as personal hygiene. You may also implement movement programs under the direction of healthcare professionals.

First Aid and Medical Care:
Provide basic first aid and comfort to children who are sick or injured. In emergencies, liaise with designated first-aiders, senior staff, and medical professionals, accompanying children to the hospital or doctor as needed. Full training will be provided for any necessary medical procedures.
Requirements:
* Must be able to work within a shift pattern between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
* Ability to manage the physical demands of lifting and assisting children with mobility and personal care.
