SThree are pleased to announce we're recruiting for a talented Insurance & Risk Assistant to join our Information Technology team on a permanent basis.

This role will work alongside the Director of Risk, Insurance and Health and Safety to maintain an effective and fit for purpose Insurance Programme for the Group. This role will require a process driven approach to ensure the best insurance coverage options for the Group, ensuring the insurance programme is aligned with ever changing business needs and compliance with relevant regulations is always maintained. The role will also provide support with Risk Management related activities to increase overall risk awareness and enhance the risk culture at SThree.

What are the day-to-day tasks?

  • Manage the maintenance, performance, governance, administration and delivery of the insurance provision for the organisation.
  • Identify areas for improvement/simplification with the existing insurance renewal and audit processes and implement effective change.
  • Provide professional, efficient insurance advice across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with various departments to embed an understanding of insurance responsibilities within decision making.
  • Support with the embedding of the Group Risk Framework through ongoing education and training
  • Regular review and monitoring of risk registers and Key Risk Indicators
  • Assist with the creation of a Group Control Library to bring awareness of the control environment to senior management
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the organisation's insurance programmes to align with changing business needs and industry standards.

What skills and knowledge are we looking for?

  • Knowledge and understanding of types of Insurance, with experience of insurance renewals
  • Basic understanding of Risk Management
  • Self-starter, pro-active and hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail
  • Keen interest in process improvement
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable in dealing with stakeholders from all levels of an organisation.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to breakdown complex information into simple explanations
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicting priorities while balancing workload
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and team working skills are essential
  • Identifying when to escalate issues for resolution / action
  • Continuous improvement mind set and driving process excellence
  • Be a good corporate citizen and help to foster a positive working culture through engagement with employee initiatives, building strong relationships with colleagues
