A client of mine who are based in Watford have a requirement for a Mechanical Draughtsman to join them.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create detailed technical drawings and specifications using Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.

* Design and develop sheet metal components, ensuring adherence to industry standards.

* Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine designs and troubleshoot issues.

* Review and modify existing designs based on feedback and testing results.

* Maintain accurate records of design changes and updates.

* Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, with a strong portfolio of relevant work.

* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks is essential.

* Experience in sheet metal fabrication is required.

* Familiarity with low voltage switchgear design is a significant advantage.

* Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.

* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
