As a Buyer you'll be…

Using your excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage suppliers, negotiate prices and place orders
Managing the day-to-day project procurement of materials
Liaising with the on-site teams to source the most cost-effective materials, of the highest quality
Monitoring the performance, quality, prices and development of suppliers
Ensuring health and safety compliance
Identifying new potential suppliers and products
Preparing quotations and proposals
Attending team meetings and site visits
Preparing and maintaining cost reports to maximise efficiency
Must haves…

Basic knowlege of aggregates, asphalt, concreate and drainage purchasing
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and the site teams
