Section Engineer

Rate: £380 - £420 Umbrella PAYE

Location: Coleshill, Birmingham

We have an exciting opportunity for a Structures Section Engineer to join our Structures team.

Role Purpose: To provide management and control of a section of works and team comprising Site Engineers management of sub-contractors focusing on reinforcement Concrete structures activities.

What you'll be doing:

Liaise with designer to resolve technical issues and clashes
Understands cost and value
Drafts correspondence to sub-contractors, suppliers and Client
Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard
Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
Excellent team player, able to work competently and independently without continuous supervision
Understand working procedures and sequences being capable to write and review RAMS and brief the teams
Organise and control all resources, concrete, rebar, plant, operatives. Preparing forecast, orders and controlling the deliveries and outcomes.
Responsible of quality, organising inspections, filling ITPs and QRPs, NCRs and FCRs
Provide and brief permits

Who we're looking for:

Civil Engineering experience in reinforcement concrete structures
Holds a valid CSCS
Has a UK driving licence
Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
