First People Solutions is currently recruiting for a Site Agent to join a well-established civil engineering contractor, working on a significant Rail Civils Renewal Framework in Scotland. This is an excellent chance to be involved in key projects with values ranging from £500k to £3m. Your first project will be a Viaduct Improvement, playing an essential role in enhancing Scotland's rail infrastructure.

The Role:

As a Site Agent, you'll take responsibility for the planning and execution of site-based work across Scotland. You'll play a key part in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Day to day responsibilities would include:

Delivery of the contract within programme and budget.
Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Contracts Manager.

What We're Looking For:

Degree / HNC or HND in civil engineering (or equivalent compensating experience in a technical engineering role)
Experience as a Site Agent or minimum Sub Agent level in a rail/civil engineering contracting environment
Experience working on multi-disciplinary rail/civils infrastructure projects for a civil engineering contractor
