Summary
Are you organized, capable, forward-thinking? If this describes you then you could be part of the Church of England in Leicester and Leicestershire as the Executive Assistant to the Archdeacons.
Based at St Martins House in central Leicester, this is a role which would suit somebody seeking to develop their skills in administration and office management. There is a mixture of self-managed work and routine office tasks in a busy office at the heart of a dynamic Diocese.
We're looking for somebody who can run the office, update our processes, maximise the use of technology and support the Archdeacons and Assistant Archdeacon. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, managing demanding diaries, administering processes for clergy recruitment, and liaising with local churches on a range of issues.
Main responsibilities include
- Diary and meeting planning and management
- Manage correspondence
- Oversight of and/or support for Church processes
- Diocesan event planning
- Participation at meetings on behalf of the Archdeacons
- Support for clergy HR processes
- Support for the Archdeacons with special projects and responsibilities
- Support for other diocesan work (eg HR, safeguarding, governance, data)
A full job description and person specification can be accessed via Pathways.
For an informal conversation about the role contact the Archdeacon of Loughborough, Claire Wood
