Main Job Purpose:Working for a large Social Housing Provider, to assist the Asset Investment Manager in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of a quantity surveying serviceKEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe post holder will:* Support in the delivery of sound cost management and accurate cash flow forecasting on all schemes* Work collaboratively with Asset Investment Managers and Building Surveyors:* Reviewing valuations* Issuing payment certificates* Checking invoices prior to payment* Concluding final accounts* Work collaboratively with Head of Asset Strategy, Building Surveyors and Data & Performance Analyst in:* Creating work packages for external contractors to deliver planned investment programmes and works* Ensuring data on completed works is provided in a timely manner to maintain the accuracy of NPH's asset management database* Take an active role in procurement exercises, including production of tender packs and analysis of returned tenders* Take an active role in options appraisals to inform investment decisionsGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES* To implement and positively promote equal opportunities in service delivery and employment practices.* To take due responsibility and set an example for the health and safety of yourself and other individuals.* To undertake training and attend meetings as required and directed by your line manager.* To ensure compliance with equality & Diversity policy at all times.* To take responsibility for managing, monitoring and reducing risk * To be committed to delivering a service that is value for money.About youEducated to a degree, HND / HNC or equivalent level in Quantity SurveyingMember of RICS, CIOB or RIBA would be preferable.Evidence of continuous professional developmentExperience of providing cost management of a multi-million pound investment programmeExcellent communication skillsWorking knowledge of different forms of constructionWorking knowledge of construction materialsGood commercial acumen and negotiation skillsExperience of serving the needs of multiple, diverse stakeholdersExperience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlinesKnowledge and experience of the NEC form of contractAbility to use main MS Office packages: Word, Excel, OutlookProven verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including presentationsDelivers on personal targets and objectivesIs focused on personal learning and business improvement.Cares about customers and communities and works to exceed their expectationsDriving licence car required for business useWhat you'll get in returnA salary of £40198, Local Government Pension Scheme, 28 days leave + bank holiday, Hybrid Working What you need to do nowIf you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion on your career.
