About Us:Peterborough City Council is excited to offer an opportunity for a Senior Educational Psychologist to join our dynamic and friendly Educational Psychology Service (EPS). Our team is highly regarded within the Local Authority and among stakeholders, and we are committed to pioneering innovative practices in SEN and Inclusion Services.

The Opportunity:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to join our team. This role offers a chance to contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality educational psychology services across Peterborough, supporting strategic planning and providing supervision to team members.

Senior Educational Psychologist's Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and support service delivery and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide supervision for Educational Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and Trainee Educational Psychologists.
  • Embrace our consultation service delivery model and contribute positively to high-quality service.
  • Develop and deliver training and supervision to school and setting staff, applying up-to-date theory and research.
  • Support schools in delivering the graduated approach for children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist.
  • Registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
  • Effective communication skills and knowledge of current practices in Educational Psychology.
  • Competent in delivering training to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
