An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Supervisor to join a busy, well-established manufacturing organisation in the Pontyclun area. This is a hands-on role, where you'll lead a dedicated team to ensure smooth and efficient production processes while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to ensure targets are met on time and within budget.

* Supervise and motivate a team of production staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high morale.

* Monitor production processes, identifying and addressing issues to maintain quality and efficiency.

* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.

* Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and any incidents.

* Liaise with management to implement process improvements and achieve operational goals.

* Manage stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with suppliers as needed.

* Train and develop team members to ensure skill levels meet production demands.

* Liaise with other departments to ensure materials are available for production in a timely manner

* Reconcile stocks at the end of a work order and close works orders

* Coordinate changeovers in-line with production plan and basic fault finding

* Carry out back-to-work interviews

Key Requirements:

* Proven experience in a supervisory role within a production or manufacturing environment (experience in food/beverage industries is a plus).

* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.

* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

* Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production demands.

* Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.

Hours of work:
6.00am - 2.00pm Monday to Friday
