Atkinson Moss Leadership recruitment have been exclusively retained to support this leading business, with the appointment of their new General Manager. This No.1 position will have oversight for operations, commercials, sales, logistics/fleet (approx 100 head count) and is very much about implementing change and driving performance moving forwards.

In this role you will:

Drive the company’s success by managing day-to-day operations, implementing winning strategies, and fostering strong client relationships. Lead with a 'can-do' attitude, inspiring a culture of excellence, innovation, and high performance.

Build and coach future talent, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and exceptional service that clients value and staff take pride in. Champion growth while steering the company towards its goals and maintaining operational excellence at every step.

Attributes sought:

  • Previous experience (Minimum 10 years of leadership experience)
  • Experience of managing the design and delivery of scalable production systems along with key performance indicators
  • Experience of managing a field force with a focus on service delivery and utilisation
  • Experience of managing effective parts procurement and utilisation
  • Experience of contracting with large corporates and then the contract management thereof
  • Good understanding of finance with experience of P&L and cash flow ownership
  • Experience of designing, building and managing high performing teams

Skills & Experiences required:

  • Proven experience managing diverse mobile workforces across multiple UK locations.
  • Strong track record of exceeding business targets and executing successful business strategies.
  • Skilled in analysing performance data and turning insights into actionable improvements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and grow teams.
  • Expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and planning.
  • Ability to manage relationships with external partners effectively.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Confident presenter with experience engaging both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work autonomously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Consultative and influential leadership style.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT tools.
