This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions. You will be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring electrical systems and equipment remain in a safe operating condition
Identify and isolate electrical systems to ensure safety of others
Learn and adhere to the latest electrical regulations and prescribed standards
Diagnose and address functionality and safety issue
Maintaining relevant documentation / schematics associated with works completed
Tasks:
Complete planned preventive and reactive maintenance on various plant and general building infrastructure including but not limited to boilers, pumps, emergency generators, air handling units, lighting & power and fire alarms
Complete reactive repairs as needed ensuring work quality meets required standards
Ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and all records are maintained and in accordance with the CMMS
Complete required weekly inspections and testing. E.g. check electrical systems to make sure they're safe
Complete replacements and small installation works as required
Supporting mechanical tasks as required
Education:
Formal electrical qualification (E.g. completed apprenticeship, Level 3 C&G or equivalent Electrical qualification etc), essential
Multiskilled in both Electrical and mechanical work, desirable
Completed latest edition of the IEE wiring regulations, essential
City and Guilds 2391 inspection and testing, desirable
Health and safety qualification (E.g. IOSH),( SSSTS and/or SMSTS) essential
Trained in operating MEWPs (E.g. IPAF), desirable
Drivers licence, essential
Experience:
Significant commercial or industrial electrical experience
Background of working within a maintenance department completing both Electrical and mechanical tasks)
Demonstrable fault finding capability

Previous use of a CMMS / CAFM tools
High Voltage Maintenance Knowledge
Computer literate
Can read and interpret Electrical Schematics
Understanding of PLC
HVAC knowledge
