Our client is well-established within the Automotive sector and are looking for a hands-on team lead to manage the team in mechanical/battery design and development within the Powertrain department.Job Description

• Carry out and record the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) necessary to maintain and enhance competence in your own area of practice and to mentor/develop members of your team.
• Lead the mechanical design and development of Battery for EV
• Approve Statements of Work, Interface Agreements and Collaboration Management Plans for outsourced packages of work
• Check and approve design evidence (design calculations, reference data with source, correspondence, test reports, etc) and ensure that it is recorded for use in design reviews.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and design authority on a major engineering system(s) or engineering development process/technique.

Mechanical Design Engineer Team Lead/LeaderEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in the use of a high-level CAD package (Catia / NX).
• Experience in the application of the Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) process.
• Expert in the application/selection of relevant engineering analytical techniques, manufacturing processes, materials specifications & standard parts and is able to guide others.
• Full project lifecycle and a background of designing batteries
