Keyman Personnel, on behalf of our esteemed client, a growing Design and Build Contractor, known for Residential/Commercial projects across London, is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, professional, and experienced Design Manager.

With a portfolio that includes projects ranging from £20m to £100m we pride ourselves on commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability.

Role Summary:

The Design Manager will lead the design team, ensuring that their projects are coordinated with external consultants and developed alongside the internal team. This role requires a blend of creativity and practicality, bridging the gap between design and construction to meet our clients' ER's while complying with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Programme Management: Manage the information delivery in line with the

design program, including:

* Running Design Team Meetings, including look ahead activities, focusing on risks and opportunities,

* Progress reports with the Contracts Managers and Recurring reviews against the project managers target programme.

* Drawing signo3s on Project Vault (PV),

* Utilities meetings and handover checklist reviews for Operations & Maintenance.

Subcontractor Package Coordination:

* Overseeing subcontractor package execution against the stage 4/5 information, confirming approvals with regulatory bodies and consultants, ensuring timely and quality delivery.

Design Strategies Development:

* Formulate design strategies with the consultants, including, access and maintenance, cleaning, fire, energy, while incorporating designer risk assessments. Continually assess the design with the projects Quantity surveyor to ensure commercial compliance.

Regulatory Compliance and Planning:

* Ensure compliance with planning conditions, the relevant sections, GLA, building control, and warranty items. Maintaining up-to-date compliance trackers for each regulatory body.

Leadership and Team Management:

* Coordinate the packages with the Lead designer, fostering collaboration among architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Drive innovation within the design while adhering to quality and regulatory standards.

Client Liaison and Stakeholder Engagement:

* Act as the primary design contact for clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their vision is realised while maintaining open communication with all project stakeholders.
