The Client
Our client specialises in refrigeration systems and provides sales and technical support across the UK and Ireland. They are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Service Engineer with a strong background to work autonomously across the Devon and Cornwall region, responsible for the service and repair of various industrial and commercial refrigeration units,
Key Responsibilities:
· Conducting reactive service & planned maintenance of heavy commercial refrigeration systems.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
· Perform routine planned inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems and prevent costly breakdowns.
· Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to explain plant issues, proposed solutions, and offer expert advice on equipment maintenance and system efficiency.
· Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations during all tasks and operations.
· Keep up-to-date records of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs.
Key Skills:
· Strong background in refrigeration with comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration systems.
· FGAS 2079 (essential)
· Full U/k driving licence
· Strong self-confidence and assurance.
· City and Guilds Level 1,2 and 3 in Refrigeration and air-conditioning (desirable).
· Analytical and technically inclined mindset.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Assertive, professional, friendly, and approachable demeanour
