Description

The key responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant include:

• Performing financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
• Coordinating with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
• Evaluating computerised accounting systems and providing recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
• Generating financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
• Analysing financial discrepancies and recommending effective resolutions.
• Monitoring expenditures, analysing revenues and determining budget variances and reporting the same to management.
• Responding to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
• Providing guidance to other Accountants when needed.

Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

• Ideally working towards accountancy qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in managing large amounts of data and ability to interpret and analyse financial statistics and translate data into usable information.
• Excellent numerical skills with an accuracy in detailed numerical work.
• Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, accounting software and databases.
