Hyde is looking to recruit a Statutory Reporting Accountant.

As a Statutory Reporting Accountant, you’ll play a key role in our Financial Control team. Your expertise will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust financial controls, and a seamless audit process for Hyde and its associated companies. We’re seeking an ACA-qualified accountant with recent UK audit experience in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements for Hyde Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and statutory regulations.
  • Assist in the timely submission of statutory accounts in line with audit schedules.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and acting as a key contact.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Support financial analysis and internal reporting for senior management, aiding strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations, identifying and addressing any control weaknesses.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, audit processes, and accounting standards (FRS 102, Housing SORP, IFRS).
  • Excellent investigative accounting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.
  • Experience and understanding of audit processes and practice
  • Proficiency in producing regulatory returns and assisting with tax compliance.
  • Strong communication skills
