Academics is thrilled to present an exciting opportunity for a Curriculum Leader for Geography to join a dedicated and supportive school in South Staffordshire. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic teacher who will strategically lead the Geography department and inspire students across all key stages.

The Role:

  • Strategically lead the curriculum development and teaching of Geography.
  • Collaborate with the Geography department and subject specialists to ensure the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Facilitate and lead learning experiences outside of the classroom.
  • Ensure high standards of pupil attainment and achievement across the curriculum.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is an experienced, highly competent teacher.
  • Demonstrates a strong passion for teaching Geography and inspiring students.
  • Possesses leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop the Geography department.
  • Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional growth.
  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of how children learn, with experience in assessment for learning and effective behaviour management.
  • Possesses or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS plus Children's Barred List Check.
