Class 1 Driver

Here at HireGiant we are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Normanton, Derby.

This local family run company focuses on deliveries their goods to clients across the UK. There is a strong possibility for the Class 1 Driver to be placed on long term hire should they perform well without any incidents, lateness and repeated infringements.

The Role:

The Class 1 driver will be required to work Monday to Friday and start anywhere between 06:00am - 08:00am. The work starts immediately and involves making up to 2 or 3 deliveries/collections of goods on either a curtain side truck or box trailer wagon. HGV Class 1 experience is needed due to the nature of the work, along with HGV1 Driver experience, you must also be competent with strapping a load securely to follow HSE and driver regulations.

Requirements for this role:

The Class 1 Driver will require:

Cat C+E entitlement on their licence
Valid Digital tacho & CPC Card
Safety Boots & Hi Viz Vest

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday (Weekend work if wanted)

Start time between 06:00am & 08:00am (can accommodate earlier and later starts if prior agreed)

Shifts will be between 10-12 hours

The hourly rate for this role is:

£15.50 - £17.00 - per hour Monday to Friday PAYE to start
