We’re seeking a talented Accountant to support our Financial Controller in managing key financial processes related to sales, disposals, and capital finance. Your Role as an Accountant (Capital)
In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Controller, ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting key capital finance processes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accounting for 1st tranche sales and staircasing sales.
- Assisting with asset disposals accounting.
- Managing retentions accounting.
- Overseeing the PMM month-end process and related accounting.
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, including Fixed Asset Register (FAR) reconciliations and retentions.
- Managing and responding to queries from the Capital Finance and Sales & Disposals mailboxes.
- Supporting the year-end audit process.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
- Uploading capital finance projects.
- Handling ad hoc financial queries to support the business.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates at various stages in their finance careers, provided they have the right skills and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will have:
- Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) and working towards full qualification, or potentially someone starting on their accounting/finance journey with relevant experience.
- Experience in a capital finance, real estate, housebuilding, or property-related background preferred.
- Prior experience of sales, disposals, and capital accounting processes would be helpful.
- Confidence in handling balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks.
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
