Role: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Onsite: Portsmouth

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

Yoh have partnered with a growing business who work within the maritime industry looking for a senior mechanical design engineer. Within this position, you the freedom to influence the process from start to finish with endless design & development opportunities.

Our client is an industry leader in designing specialist marine hardware, they are looking to hire an experienced senior mechanical design engineer on a permanent basis to support multiple projects from NPD to improving an existing portfolio of products.

This is a permanent role which requires the successful candidate to be onsite full time.

Skills and experience

* 5-10 years' experience, ideally working with new product development and re designing existing products.

* Expertise in CAD software (Client use Creo but can be flexible on this).

* Experience in designing for various manufacturing processes such as; sheet metal fabrication, casting, machining etc.

* An understanding of the process of the design for moving/dynamic components - such as Motors, Gears, Mechanisms etc.

* Knowledge and demonstrable use of FEA.
