A well-established school in London is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to monitor and improve student attendance. This role is crucial in supporting students' educational success by ensuring high levels of attendance and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities:

* Monitor daily student attendance, recording and reporting absences.

* Contact parents and carers regarding unexplained absences and lateness.

* Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external agencies to improve attendance.

* Maintain accurate records and generate attendance reports for senior staff.

* Identify patterns of absence and implement intervention strategies.

* Support families and students in addressing barriers to regular attendance.

* Ensure compliance with safeguarding and school attendance policies.

Ideal Candidate:

* Experience working in school administration, pastoral support, or attendance management.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with parents, staff, and external agencies.

* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

* Ability to use school attendance software and reporting systems (training provided).

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and student support.

* Knowledge of education legislation and safeguarding procedures (desirable).
